Bradenham U11s travelled to Mattishall and ran out comfortable winners with several notable contributions including 3 wickets for Josh Rowe and 2 for Tyler Murphy, with Jack Ashford and Liam Kevern with 1 each. Murphy top scored with 10 runs but all the players batted well in an impressive team effort
Bradenham v Swaffham Mon 6 Jun 11
Bradenham under 11s entertained their Swaffham counterparts and completed a thoroughly deserved win. The host’s first pairing of Tyler Murphy and Jack Ashford put on an unbroken partnership of 26 for the first wicket, this early impetus was continued by Liam Kevern and William Sparkes, also unbeaten at the end of their 4 overs. Steady progress was made by the remaining batsmen with Bradenham accumulating 260 for the loss of 3 wickets.
When Swaffham batted they were put under pressure by all the Bradenham bowlers, supported by some exceptional fielding and tremendous enthusiasm. There were 2 wickets apiece for Jack Ashford and Tyler Murphy. A special mention goes to Ben Ashford taking 2 wickets on his debut and also to young Lewis Watts who took 2 for 8 in his 2 overs. Ryan Bayne kept wicket well, supported by another good bowling performance from Edward Bayne. The side was captained well by Matthew Gaskins who batted and bowled well.
Swaffham finished on 209 losing 10 wickets, match result Bradenham under 11s winning by 51 runs.
